## Notable Case Results

### Man Found Not Guilty Following Felony Bench Trial

We successfully obtained a not guilty verdict for a client facing an eight-year hard labor prison sentence on a charge of felony second-degree battery by domestic violence in Bossier Parish. The case centered on the testimony of the alleged victim—who was married to the client at the time of the incident—and her supporting witnesses.

We achieved this result by fully investigating the case prior to trial and conducting a rigorous cross-examination of the alleged victim and her corroborating witnesses during a two-and-a-half-day bench trial. The defense rested after calling only two witnesses: a firm investigator and a crime scene investigation and reconstruction expert. By avoiding the need to put the client on the stand, we were able to secure a not guilty verdict for our client.
